About Our Company
Understanding your financials is not enough. As your accountability partner, we will help you navigate and control your business to realize your vision. Accountability is our craft.
We are more than a bookkeeping company. We are here to help entrepreneurs achieve their full potential. In other words, we will help you understand your world, spot opportunities and options, solve problems, create ideas, and make decisions. You know and understand your business’s idea, but do you feel overwhelmed in managing the systems needed to keep your business moving forward, generating cash flow, and pushing the envelope in profitability? If you’d like help making a noticeable change in moving the needle forward, you’ve come to the right place.
Our unique approach is helping you create your business story figuratively and literally. There are many phenomenal entrepreneurs. And guess what? The biggest wins have been from those who have taken the time to read, write, critically think, and tap into inspiration. What is missing is your story. Your insights are not just valuable, they are crucial. They will allow you to create your business success story and capture your legacy story in print. Your book can be deeply personal and for your eyes only, or you can share it to inspire others.
One of my favorite stories was from the founder of Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard. His book, Some Stories, captures his thoughts and experiences in a beautifully illustrated layout. The connecting thread that runs through the minds of great entrepreneurs is their insatiable need to read and write.
We treat your business as if it were a book, unique and full of potential. We help entrepreneurs and small business owners like you write your business story, one chapter at a time. Our approach is not one-size-fits-all but personalized to your business, making you feel valued and understood.
Manifesto
A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both. – Yvon Chouinard
Custom Service
Our clients are the reason for everything, and our entire business model is built around exceptional, customizable customer service. What does that look and feel like? We appreciate the client’s time with on-time deadlines and go the extra mile for value beyond the paid service. We prioritize identifying the client’s needs by taking the time to listen and understand what you want and need. We are always, always attentive to detail and accuracy. There is no other option.
The Team
Victoria is having what could be described as a mid-life crisis. Lucky for you, she doesn’t see it that way. Instead, she views this chapter in her life as an opportunity with an encroaching deadline. Despite her impressive career as the CFO of Colorado Camper Van, consultant for Vansmith, and certified consultant with Larimer and Boulder Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), she believes her most significant work is yet to come. She believes every person has a unique narrative shaped by their experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Writing a story can be a powerful tool for reflection and understanding, allowing insight into their lives and the events that have shaped them. The notion that everything is created twice emphasizes the importance of intention and thought behind our actions. This process can help clarify one’s goals and inspire positive life changes. If you’d like to explore this idea further or need help crafting a story, she would love to help you make that happen.
When Victoria was in high school, she was selected to be in the gifted and talented class. This experience gave her a new understanding of learning, which is given new life when autonomy is center stage. When we are allowed freedom to explore our curiosities in the world, we all have the potential to thrive. With this enlightenment, she has questioned how we learn and grow as children and adults.
As almost everyone will tell you, their best work is not done in isolation. It takes team collaboration. Meet Pam, an enthusiastic photographer with an eye for beauty in the everyday world. With a camera always slung around her neck, Pam has an innate ability to capture moments that others might overlook. Her passion for photography began later in life, sparked by a fascination with how a simple click could freeze time and preserve memories forever.
Pam often wanders through tranquil nature trails, always searching for the perfect shot. Her keen sense of composition and light allows her to turn ordinary scenes into extraordinary works of art. Whether it’s the vibrant colors of a sunset, the candid laughter of friends, or the intricate details of a flower, Pam sees the world through a lens of creativity and curiosity.
In addition to technical skills, Pam possesses a deep appreciation for storytelling. Each photograph tells a story, conveying emotions and experiences without the need for words. She often spends hours in post-production, fine-tuning her images to enhance the mood and meaning behind each shot.
Pam believes photography is more than just a hobby; it’s a way to see life’s beauty and document the ever-changing world around her. Through her lens, she inspires others to slow down, appreciate the little things, and find joy in the fleeting moments that make life unique.
Both Victoria and Pam are passionate and avid readers. Both are terrified to write but do it anyway. Both are unconventional, lifelong learners in the sink-or-swim methodology or in other words, acting sooner rather than later. Like many entrepreneurs, they operate with limited cash flow, which often calls for creativity and resourcefulness. Their resilience and adaptability have been vital to their success.
In true DIY spirit, they have honed their skills in various areas of life, becoming adept makers, builders, and renovators. They have tried and failed at gardening too many times to count. But they still believe they could have a flourishing garden nursery business if they wanted to. Wouldn’t that be nice?
By default, they have become DIY experts in mental health by caring for several family members with mental health struggles, including high-functioning autism, bipolar, and schizophrenia. They are holding the line at three cats max, even though their preteen granddaughter, whom they have raised from age two weeks old and ‘unschool’ (homeschool without borders), insists they should save them all. They have one dog, Mufasa, who, by rights, should have been named Chewbacca (from Star Wars) as he is more reminiscent of this character than the lion king. But how can you have that type of foresight?
Sure, they come equipped with advanced business degrees, but that is not nearly as important as what they have learned in the school of hard knocks. In other words, they have blue ribbons in both success and failure, which has made all the difference.
